The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) is unique in the field of comprehensive stool testing. It relies exclusively on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, and fungi by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested.

 The GI-MAP was designed to assess a patient’s microbiome from a single stool sample, with particular attention to microbes that cause disease or that disrupt normal microbial balance and contribute to perturbations in the GI flora and contribute to illness. With full quantification and testing for the following markers, the clinician can interpret the results with accurate, actionable clinical information.  Testing for:

Directions

You will receive your test kit in the post, which will include a full set of instructions.  There is no need to add your credit card details as you have already paid for the test.  When your results are received, our healthcare professional will analyse them and write your report.  This will be emailed to you using the email address you have provided at check out.  We can usually email your report within five working days of your results being received.
