Multi-nutrient complex providing tyrosine, iodine and selenium to support optimal thyroid function.
Formulated by naturopath Martin Budd ND, Thyro Complex provides a synergistic blend of nutrients and herbs that support the thyroid gland, providing the substrates and co-factor nutrients required by the body for optimal thyroid hormone production. The formula includes the amino acid L-tyrosine, an amino acid used as a building block to make thyroid hormones; iodine, a vital mineral which forms part of the hormones T3 and T4; and selenium, an important co-factor in the conversion of T4 to T3.
The formula also contains a wide range of other nutrients and botanicals, such as phenylalanine, l-carnitine, liquorice, B vitamins, magnesium and vitamin C which are also helpful for supporting thyroid function. Thyro Complex can therefore be considered to provide broad nutritional support for this vital gland.

Suitable for adults and children from the age of 12 years.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and is an ideal alternative to glandulars.
Not suitable for those with an overactive thyroid gland.
Suitable for those taking thyroid medication only if blood thyroid hormone levels are being regularly monitored by a health professional.
This product contains vitamin A. Do not exceed 750mcg of vitamin A (as retinol) per day if pregnant or likely to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor.
Do not take if suffering from phenylketonuria (PKU) (phenylalanine).
Do not take if suffering from Wilson's disease (copper).
Consult with a medical doctor if taking thiazide diuretics (liquorice).
